West Philadelphia Youth Workforce Summit

On February 3rd & 4th, from 2-4pm, The Enterprise Center CDC (TEC-CDC) will host an Internship Fair in collaboration with the Philadelphia Youth Network (PYN).This is a great opportunity for organizations to secure qualified, pre-screened student interns at no cost to your business. At the Summit, students will prepare tables with resumes and tri-fold boards, market themselves as qualified candidates for the job, and practice the professional skills they have developed over the year. Businesses are welcome on either day of the fair for as much time as they can offer.
We are asking businesses to pass the invitation along to any contacts you have who may be interested – we want a great turnout for the youth, but we also want as many businesses as possible to take advantage of this opportunity.
Even if a business is unable to hire a student intern for the spring, we are still inviting them to attend the Summit. We really want the youth to know that opportunities exist for them, that their education is directly tied to their economic success and employment future. Therefore, the more human capital, the more exposure these students have to professionals, the better.
Please spread the word to anyone who could benefit from an intern or who simply wants to support our future local workforce.
