BSAC MISSION STATEMENT
 
The Boston Student Advisory Council advocates for and protects the voices of students in the Boston Public School system, empowers the student body to express their opinions regarding educational policy changes, and ensures that students are included in decision and policy making which impacts their lives and educational experiences.
 
Goals:

  • To provide a foundation for students and teachers to open communication towards improving their community
  • To revise policies to ensure that student rights are afforded
  • To engage the student community in the pursuit of their own academic futures
  • To empower the student community to take control of their own academic future and advocate for themselves
  • To collaborate with the faculty, school committee, city officials, and students in an effort to improve schools and the local community
  • To ensure student representation in the decision making that impacts their education
